Duncan was having a quiet day in. He didn't have work and since he had finally finished moving into the college dorms, he could finally take the time to catch up on his reading. He had a cup of coffee on the small table next to his chair, a book open in his lap. He was tracing his fingers over the raised Braille on the page, eyes seeming to be looking towards the paper but seeing nothing. He was being lazy for the day in attire, sitting in the chair in nothing but some shorts that were a bit loose on his waist. The ac wasn't too strong at the moment, his mind somewhat hoping for some maintenance worker to eventually fix it.

He was quite absorbed in his book, having read half of it today already. He stopped for a moment to take a sip of his coffee before hearing there was someone at his door. He couldn't help to be confused by this. He didn't really have many friends in this town, so he wasn't sure who was going to be on the other side of the door. Opening it, he blinked cloudy blue eyes in further confusion.
"Alec?"
He could smell it was the guy he saved months back, but something smelt off about him. The blind man just couldn't figure out what could be so...different.

Alec had got done spending the day with Casey. He had lost a lot of his friends, mainly because he had dropped out of high school and the one friend he tried to make, his lover had scared off. Their was another person he knew but they weren't friends, the guy wasn't very nice to him in his opinion, course he did save him from a pervert...but he still wasn't the nicest.

Something inside him wondered if he should just go and see the blind student. He didn't know if Duncan still lived in the dorms or not, but figured might as well start there. He headed over their, remembering which dorm it was before getting ready to knock when Duncan answered."Oh...hi...." he said in a shy voice.

Duncan still just blinked cloudy eyes at Alec for a moment, hearing the shy tone in which the boy was speaking. He didn't hear anyone else with him, choosing to open the door and let the guy in.
"Come in I guess. What are you doing here?"
He was trying not to ask why Alec smelt different, like a dog and something he couldn't place so well. It was a little maddening to him, but he'd rather have the boy explain himself before just firing those kinds of questions. Duncan wasn't used to visitor, or people being around really, not sure what to offer or do now that Alec was here.

Should he just leave? He stood in the doorway for a moment before coming in and smiled."Just passing through, haven't spoken to you in awhile." He said with a smile. He stood their, somewhat awkward before yawning."So how have you been?" He asked.

Duncan closed the door behind Alec, his sightless eyes Able to follow his every move for the most part. He walked over to put his book away, knowing he wasn't going to finish it with a guest here. He heard what the boy said, unable to help jump to his own questions.
"I've been fine. Why do you smell different."
Alec knew he was blind and that all his senses were enhanced, but even to someone that knew he more than likely still sounded a bit crazy. He wanted to get to the bottom of this before they continued talking.

He sat down and looked up at Duncan, blinking at what the.other had said."I....was attacked by a vampire and turnes into one then I was attacked by a werewolf and saved.by a witch so now I'm a hybrid." He revealed. He wondered how.Duncan would take that news, it wasn't very often that hybrids were around.

Duncan listened to what Alec was saying, his brain trying to wrap around the idea of a hybrid creature between a werewolf and a vampire. He just stood there for a moment, blank in the face as if to put Alec under a spot light. He kept this up for a moment before fixing himself another cup of coffee.
"So that's the other scent I couldn't place, vampire. Just don't try to eat me is all I ask. Want anything?"
Duncan was carrying on as if this wasn't something out of the ordinary. Well someone showing up at his dorm as out of the norm, but aside from that He had no issues with Alec.

"Coffee would be nice." He said with a smile. "No I don't drink human blood directly from humans." He said with a slight chuckle. He looked around the apartment."How is school going?" He asked.

Duncan grabbed another mug, filling both cups he had now. He wasn't sure how Alec liked his coffee so he just gestured to the sugar and creamer left on the counter. He took a sip from his cup, eyes shut as he listened. He gave his own chuckle, keeping his eyes closed.
"graduated high school, so guess that counts for something. Though at least now I know why you weren't there at graduation. Describe the changes to your senses."
He knew some of what came with being a wolf or vampire, but he was curious just how much of a change there was to the hearing and smell.

He.took the coffee and smiled."Yeah I dropped out...I lost all my friends and nobody seems to like me anymore..." He said.softly. He didn't know why his friends abandoned him, they couldn't have known about him being a hybrid. He tried not to feel sad about it and landed back, drinking some of his coffee.

Duncan listened, just keeping his eyes closed as he walked over to his chair. He gestured to his desk chair for Alec to sit, trying to be somewhat polite to the other. He wasn't really one to have friends to begin with, so it was a little difficult for him to understand the loss.
"I'm sorry to hear that, I'm not sure what to tell you really...guess you can visit me or something. Not exactly one for friends aside from the flora in my dorm..."

He wasn't really sure out Duncan even liked him or not, but smiled at the open door the other presented. "Thank you." He said and couldn't help but to looked down at his.coffee. He normally didn't feel awkward around.people, but he didn't know what Duncan made.of him. It was clear the other didnt count him as a friend but that went both ways, but he did somewhat like the other.

Duncan felt comfortable in the bit of silence that filled the room. He sipped on his coffee, eyes never opening. He could almost hear the discomfort, not sure what to do to make Alec feel comfortable. He then realized he hadn't exactly "seen" the hybrid's face. He finally opened his eyes, "looking" at Alec as he spoke.
"I haven't seen your face yet. If I remember correctly I only felt for bruising, I didn't actually look at you."

He was about to say something before Duncan spoke up about seeing his face. He blinked at this statement."Okay, not sure what yyou'll think, people say I look....unusual." he said. He leaned forward, getting alittle bit closer so Duncan could touch his face.

Duncan couldn't help to scoff at Alec saying he looked unusual. He put his cup down as Alec moved closer to him. He could sense the other was leaning close before reaching out both hands for the hybrid's face. His touch was extremely delicate, as if he was afraid to damage the other. Fingertips ran over simple details, starting with the chin and working around the jawline. His eyes kept shifting, looking to be searching but seeing nothing. Fingers traced over lips before running over cheekbones.
"You have soft features, rather rounded..."
He sounded to be mumbling to himself after that, starting to grow curious of the other's features. Said curiosity could be seen in his face for once, a strange change from his normal state of lacking expression.
